When I set SHMConfig=On the error does not occur.
I did not try Standby/Resume like described in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ksynaptics/+bug/119644

a user have to reboot in order to regain control leading to possible
data loss if application(s) are opened when this occurs.
