This is fixed in Ubuntu.
I'm pretty sure it is also fixed in Debian, the upstream bug report
indicates that it is fixed. Is it ok to mark it Fix Released?
I'm not sure what Guadalinex is. Can someone comment on if this bug is
fixed in this distribution?

Circuit but there is no problem when you work with a FlowCode.

This bug is solved upstream, I've just test ktechlab_0.3.7-2_i386.deb
package from debian sid and it's possible to add any component to a
circuit.

According to this theard of Debian bug tracking system, there is a bug
fix uploaded to Mentors. Maybe it can be ported to Ubuntu.

I am also experiencing this bug (ktechlab crashes in Intrepid). I'd be
willing to collect data for anyone attempting to solve this. I miss
KTechLab :(

As a workaround you can uninstall the version of KTechlab in the
Intrepid repository and install the DEB downloaded from KTechlab's
sourceforge page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ktechlab/

I can confirm this bug in Debian ktechlab 0.3-9.
Steps to reproduce:
1. create new circuit
2. drag for example a battery in the canvas
3. once you release the mouse ktechlab crashes
