When I run lsmod both R8712u and R8169 are loaded.
There is a workaround for this problem.
I added
SUSPEND_MODULES=r8712u
to the /etc/pm/config.d/config and that solved the problem.

Btw I noticed this is not a problem with my other usb adapter with
Realtek 8188cus chipset.

- I have two USB adapters with different realtek chipsets (8712u and
- 8188cus). Both get disabled after computer resumes from a suspend. I can
