Unfortunately, there are a number of crashers in the new upstream code.
For instance Bug #181435 and Bug #213494. Yet, this bug should still be
closed as there is no way that this particular crash could still exist
as the code has been re-written in a different language.

Sorry to mention that it still crashes most of the time, although it is now a
panel applet. Next time I see it crash, I'll take note of the crash report.
I don't think it's a Ubuntu bug though, as Glipper crashes on me in Arch in the
same way.

I'm closing this bug as it is not in Hardy.
The version in Hardy is a complete re-write, and Glipper is now a panel
applet.

i get this message when starting Glipper from a terminal (Gusty Beta):
"(process:21117): Gnome-CRITICAL **: gnome_program_module_register:
assertion `module_info' failed"
or the same messahe with another number (ex : "(process:21231): Gnome-
CRITICAL **: gnome_program_module_register: assertion `
I have the same problem but Glipper doesn't crash. It works fine except
that it prevents Gnome from starting (xsession error) if it is loaded
through session manager but if I start it in console or through menu it
works fine except of the error.
