Public bug reported: On a clean minimal Ubuntu installation, installing the smokeping package rightfully pulls in a lot of dependencies, including e.g. apache. After linking/renaming /usr/share/smokeping/smokeping.fcgi.dist to smokeping.cgi, one can access http://localhost/smokeping/smokeping.cgi right away, yet getting a HTTP 500 error due to a missing /usr/sbin/sendmail binary referred to from /etc/smokeping/config.d/pathnames.
This should be fixed by having smokeping depend on the mail-transport- agent meta-package. ** Affects: smokeping (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1158251 Title: smokeping throws HTTP 500 error due to missing /usr/sbin/sendmail To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/smokeping/+bug/1158251/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
