Thinking about this I believe that the kernel update was the problem when my system was updated. I don't think that the xserver-xorg-video- intel was updated at the time. I attached the Xorg.0.log.old above. It's all I can get as the system is completely unusable once it has crashed. Would love

I reinstalled xserver-xorg-video-intel but unfortunately as the screen freezes I am unable to use apport-collect start after the crash. I have however got the Xorg.0.log.old which looks like it shows the problem. I'll attach it, hope it helps. ** Attachment added: Xorg.0.log.old
