Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
First install was dapper Xubuntu, installed ubuntu-desktop, then updated to edgy with no problem. On update to feisty, the update-manager gets to the package "hplip-data_1.7.3-0ubuntu1_all.deb" and my hard drive thrashes (a definite clicking followed by a pause) before erroring out and update-manager aborting. The bug occurs with the online update from multiple repositories (both US and default) as well as from the alternate CD. I'm not sure if it's the exact same package between the online and CD update, but they are definitely both on something with hplip. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- update-manager aborts on hplip updating to Feisty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116319 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
