I was able to reproduce this bug, but it doesn't seem to be a
Thunderbird or KDE specific problem as it also occured in Firefox when
uploading a file or in Gimp, Geany or gedit when opening one (I am using
Gnome). Firefox just uploads an empty file and Gimp doesn't even close
the "open file" dialog
I have also experienced this bug. It is very annoying!
