Never mind. I just tested the video linked in this bug's description
(at http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_video_all
) using Firefox 26 and it doesn't leave full-screen mode when pressing
the volume key.

If this really is fixed in Firefox 22 (released for Ubuntu 13.04 on 26th
June 2013) or Firefox 23 we should mark this bug as "Fix Released".
Does anyone object?
Also relevant is that Firefox 28 is now available in Ubuntu and it has
support for HTML5 video and audio volume control.

Hello. I have the same problem in Gnome Shell on Ubuntu 13.04 32-bit.
This happens on both flash and HTML5 videos, but not when watching on
youtube.com directly. For example the problem appears when video is
embeded on other sites or posted on facebook.
