Public bug reported: Installing w3m-el creates file /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/w3m/attic /regexp-opt.el . This file contains a buggy implementation of the regexp-opt function. Invoking (regexp-opt nil) causes an infinite loop. By contrast, in Emacs, (regexp-opt nil) returns nil.
It would be good to either remove w3m-el's version of regexp-opt.el, or replace it by a newer version that handles the (regexp-opt nil) case in the same way as Emacs does. ** Affects: w3m-el (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1169526 Title: w3m-el coontains a buggy implementation of regexp-opt To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/w3m-el/+bug/1169526/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
