Additional information found: The progress bar moves as expect until
dpkg starts processing triggers. Then the bar is completely still,
therefore the progress bar for update-manager may have some code missing
from it. This does not occour when performing operations with the
Synaptic Package Manager
It may be helpful if an attempt to reproduce this was made. Even though
this is unimportant, it makes Ubuntu look a little rough around the
edges.
