Public bug reported: I'm opening a new bugreport. It has the same symptoms described here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tilp2/+bug/129149?comments=all The bug was closed and already fixed, hence I'm opening a new one. This is with Ubuntu 12.10 and TI 84+. Using the chown trick on /sys/bus/usb made tilp happy and it worked. I was able to upload and execute my own project (awesome!). ** Affects: tilp2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1170800 Title: Cannot open USB because of permissions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tilp2/+bug/1170800/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
