I just noticed something in the dmi output above. My bios is (was)
quite old. I just updated my bios and holy crap my system is screaming
fast now. Didn't change anything other than the bios and when the
system rebooted all of the desktop interactions were super fast. As

So, I just did a fresh reinstall. When the system came up from the
install it was working excellently - snappy responses from nearly
everything. I proceeded to run a full update including all the repos in
the system settings dialogs (including partners & proposed) and then
rebooted to the new sof
I don't often reboot (maybe once a week or less) so it's possible that
this was caused by something that came out a while ago. I saw there was
an upstream fix referenced in the other bug that was supposedly released
on 4/25, but I have that installed and I'm still seeing the issue...

There were no updates to any of those during the last week. You seem to
