Public bug reported: I am seeing occasional error messages in my nginx log: 2013/04/30 23:07:37 [crit] 6674#0: *828 crypt_r() failed (2: No such file or directory), client: <SNIP>, server: <SNIP>, request: "POST /RPC2 HTTP/1.1", host: "<SNIP>", referrer: "<SNIP>"
After some quick searching, I figured out that this bug was fixed upstream in 1.2.7: http://nginx.org/en/CHANGES-1.2 My server is currently set up to require authentication to be used at all, so this bug is triggered more or less every time I use it. It'd be great if the patch could be merged; I prefer to avoid PPAs when possible. ** Affects: nginx (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1175027 Title: crypt_r() failed (2: No such file or directory) when using auth_basic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nginx/+bug/1175027/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
