same here! After updating 2.6.20-15 to 2.6.20-16 there is no wireless
lan.

The same thing happen to me when Kubuntu upgraded from 2.6.20-15 to 2.6.20-16.
I discovered what the problem was - it seems that a new version of the
ipw3945d-* executable was not installed in /sbin during the kernel upgrade. The
new kernel was looking for ipw3945d-2.6.20-16-generic but only

In Ubuntu Feisty I have encountered exactly the same with the upgrade from
2.6.20-15-generic to 2.6.20-16 generic.
