Public bug reported: Using: - lubuntu 12.10 (ac100) - nvidia proprietary drivers - mplayer
When trying to play a video, a video window is open and X freezes. I can switch to console and back to X (ctrl-alt-f1) and kill the mplayer and X, but it remains frozen. This also happens when using ekiga to display self image from the camera. Note that this does not happen when using the "open source video drivers". (selected by the 'Software Sources' application) ( However, in that case I suspect from xorg.0.log that the FB driver is used instead of nouveau - but that's another story..) ** Affects: linux-ac100 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "dmesg log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1178199/+attachment/3670836/+files/host1x_errors.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1178199 Title: X freeze on video playback To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-ac100/+bug/1178199/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
