Raoul Bhatia, thank you for your comment. So your hardware and problem may be
tracked, could you please file a new report with Ubuntu by executing the
following in a terminal while booted into a Ubuntu repository kernel (not a
mainline one) via:
ubuntu-bug linux
For more on this, please read
seeing this issue on Ubuntu 14.04 amd64,
currently running linux-image-3.15.0-2-generic from May 26th.
I've also seen this running stock 3.13.x from trusty.
Will try linux-image-3.15.0-5-generic_3.15.0-5.10_amd64.deb (current
utopic kernel) next.

[Fujitsu LIFEBOOK U772]
This 'wait_for_pipe_off' issue seems pretty widespread. It may well be a
dupe of #1182386 , and there is a Fedora report at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=919120 . I have been seeing
it a couple of times per boot on Fedora 18 from kernel 3.8.9 all the way
to kernel 3.10, on a Sony
The mainline kernel wont start correctly (blank screen) from 3.10 and
upwards with a dual monitor setup. Single monitor boots ok but then this
issue I only have with a dual setup. So cant test with new mainline
kernel.
