Thanks. I have all current software updates for Feisty, but Amarok is still
at 1.4.5. How do I upgrade to 1.4.7?

Thank you for the reply. I found that it is most reproducible if I
start Amarok, lock the screen (under Gnome), unlock the screen, click
the small Amarok icon that brings it back into focus. Then XServer
appears to crash (i.e., I have to re-log in.)
Amarok was started from the terminal command l
please try to start amarok in the terminal. let it run for a while, and
post the outcome here.
