Changing the path in ubuntu only was a serious mistake... it's good to
fix bugs, but not to introduce gratuitous incompatibilities between
Debian and Ubuntu.
If something had to be done, it should have been in Debian directly. Now

t think we could modify the actual source of the program. I'll try that.
But I'm having a horrible time getting all the dependencies (and the
dependencies of the dependencies) to install. This means I can't
actually build the .deb file to test it.

directory from another, the diff includes all file contents

Thanks for your work on this bug. The debdiff is massive, and I don't
understand the specific change from that patch. The version in the
repositories built cleanly for me, but I didn't try applying the patch.

For some reason, I'm having a difficult time building this package. Here
is a patch that I think should get the lib files in the right folder. If
someone could verify that it works, that would be great.
