Does Ubuntu Brainstorm still exist? Thought it will be shut down soon...
In trusty qtcreator comes with qbs but there is no standalone qbs binary

I suggest you to contact Vsevolod (whose branch you linked above) and
ask him if he is going to submit his package to Debian. Also, it
currently fails to build in PPA, it needs to be fixed.
