according to bug 119052 the module will then be autoloaded, it works
fine after you load that module. therefore, fix released and will be in
gutsy+1 (which will have the autoloading thinkpad module in the kernel
that will be in gutsy+1).

Is the package hotkey-setup installed? What is the output of this command on a
terminal:

nothing very interesting (actually, nothing is added to the output of
dmesg after pressing fn+f3, same thing even when loading the
thinkpad_acpi module [i thought it might be related to bug 119052, guess
not])
