I constantly get this error during the day, to the point where Evolution
is unusable. It also then does not synchronise the changes I make in
Evolution to what appears in Outlook. I have an Exchange 2003 SP2
server using Ubuntu 7.10 with all the latest updates.

I get this error when I have filtered for a particular and the filtered
results are available in the mail pane, and I try to send a mail I get
the "lost connection to backend" error message. using 7.10 (Gutsy).
Exchange 2003 server. Not tested in previous ubuntu releases.
THis happens every time.

work on it at the moment and upstream know the code better since they
write it

I've experienced similar errors when connecting to the exchange 2003
server at work. Especially when trying to browse the contacts stored in
the Exchange database (this worked a lot better in Edgy!). Confirmed.
