I am closing this report against the old linux-source package since it
is open and Incomplete for the current linux package.
Can you please let us know if this problem still exists in Intrepid
(which is now stable)? If the problem still exists, please attach the
information again that was request
The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

Yes, problem is still very annoying. The situation has gotten worse as
now even xrandr stopped functioning when returning from sleep.
