hybernation crash on restart
Sorry for the delay, I had extreme priority items to deal with. I upgraded my
machine to 8.04. There were problems
with packages, but after futzing around I got it. (All the package error stuff
should not be done by me on the command line,
I would think it should be done in the background.)
We are closing this bug report because it lacks the information we need
to investigate the problem, as described in the previous comments.

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

Yes, I saw that. At that point I didn't know that it would switch to
date format.
I find date format more useful. This is 'cutsie'.

Brian: Duh, I should have seen the date. It's pretty well hidden. But the
individual comments
don't have dates!
I started my box, hybernated and started again. The hybernation powered off
and then hung on powerup, as before. I held the power button down for a few
seconds
and then powered

Brian: You're welcome. I tried it now and as before it powered down nicely.
On reboot it did the bios thing and then there was a one line error across the
top of the screen.
I didn't catch all of it but it had:
... error creating sysfs ...
I'm not sure it was 'sysfs', but it was something
