Public bug reported: I tried hybernation on Ubuntu. It shut down my system. I then powered up. During reboot there were error messages flying by -couldn't read them. Finally it froze at the Ubuntu splash page. But there was a white strip across the page horizontally and the word Ubuntu was split around the screen, like : |ntu Ubu| where the '|' are the edges of the screen. I typed on the keyboard but nothing happened. It refused to power off!! Fortunately I have a button that I was able to push on the front of my Penguin Computing computer that rebooted. Everything is ok after reboot. Obviously the hybernation failed.
