I have the same trouble in Ubuntu 12.04,
Notebook: Acer aspire 5553G
Soundcard: Realtek ALC271X (Windows say that it is ALC269).
First I want to say that this is NOT Linux bug, this is Windows 7 bug, or
Realtek audio driver for Windows 7 bug.
So, I have not found a solution for Windows, but I
