Public bug reported: Hi after the last Ubuntu upgrade, I am having these power related problems:
1) the initial battery/power indicator does not change when the laptop is plugged/unplugged. If the laptop was on battery, the indicator continues to show it after I plug it in, and vice versa. 2) Sleep never works when the lid is closed, however it can be invoked using "/etc/acpi/sleep.sh" or selecting suspend from the menu. 3) /proc/acpi/battery got disappeared I am attaching the following: - version.log - dmesg | grep ACPI - dmidecode - lshw - lscpu -vnvn - /proc/acpi when plugged - /proc/batter when on battery - uname -a Ubuntu is my primary OS so I will appreciate any suggestions for resolving this issue. Thanks in advance! ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "acpi_debug.tgz" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1210361/+attachment/3765583/+files/acpi_debug.tgz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1210361 Title: Incorrect battery/power status and missing /proc/acpi/battery To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1210361/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
