better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with
the latest development release of Ubuntu? (
I'm running an Acer laptop with an ATI XPRESS 1100 integrated chipset
and X on Gutsy and the X starting screen installation is failing,
dropping to the Blue Screen of Error Report (BSER).
Even in "safe mode" X under gutsy tribe 5 will fail to start.
I get 7 messages about PCI problems as the kern
updates seem to have fixed the problem - gutsy now starts X with fglrx
on my machine too
