Public bug reported:

My computer: HP 530
Processor: Intel Celeron M CPU 530 @ 1.73GHz
Graphic card: Intel 945GME x86/MMX/SSE2

I upgraded my Ubuntu installation in May:
* from 12.10 (kernel version: 3.5.0-28-generic)
* from 13.04 (kernel version: 3.8.0-19-generic)

(I believe that those were the kernel versions installed)

When starting my computer, this is what I see and do:
1. I see the BIOS
2. I briefly see a screen where I can select different ways to start Ubuntu
(choosing the latest 3.8.0-* kernel)
3. I see a statement that it is loading that kernel
4. The screen goes black (but isn't turned off: the backlight is still on)
5. I hear the hard drive doing something, so I wait until I believe that I have
been auto-logged in
6. I press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace
7. I hear the sound that indicates that I'm at the login screen

When starting with 3.5.0-28-generic, everything works as expected (just
like it did with 12.10).

(I haven't reported the bug until now, since I've got it to work anyway, but
now it seems like I need to use the latest kernel to get Virtualbox to work)
