Software center reviews are extremely positive. So some users, myself
included, see value in having shutter available.
Bug #965743 seems to be the most frequent crash. I had disabled
autostarting so long ago that I forgot it was the default. Maybe we
should change that default?

The errors are clearly showing that the same crashes started in 0.88.1-1 and
continued all the way throughout to 0.90.
Including people using saucy...
Including people fetching packages from GetDeb services...
Including people using PPAs to install on precise...

It's not even installed by default. How in the world does it give a bad
impression on the platform when you install a third-party application onto
a platform and it is only the application that is having issues?
That's equivalent to you getting a bad impression on your car once your
tire goes
We discussed this on IRC already. If I removed every package from the
archive that has some bugs, we'd have no packages. Your not knowing
perl (and thus not being able to fix it yourself) is no reason to remove
it from the archive. It may be an argument for you to remove it from
your system, if
