results: the deleted message should be in the trash folder. And when TB
starts up, there should be no filter applied.

hat the automatic Junk mail
facility now doesn't work for one of my regular Junk suppliers. Is it possible
for Ubuntu to move to a better version of Thunderbird than this 52.8.0 version?

To do workaround option (b), you have to set your archived messages to go to
the local trash folder.
