1. There is a patent on this behaviour (i.e.

implement it.
2. It is usually implement by EC by detecting hardware pins. For example,

Verified 14.04 on xps 13, the led is not blinking with suspend. I am
going to try Windows just to confirm it actually links.

As this behavior (blinking LED) could be seen on Windows, this might be
a greylist bug for us.

Just the same behaviour, i.e. the led goes solid off on sleep. If I think a
bit, this may be what one wants, because this will spare some µAh and lengthen
sleep time before the battery gets empty. On the other side, no indicator may
be a lack for some others.
