I'm also having this bug. When I've got several Firefox windows open and
I press Ctrl + W to close the window I'm looking at, it sometimes closes
all of my Firefox windows. This bug is really annoying.

Since my last post a lot has changed on my system. I have a totally
different computer (well, the mouse and keyboard are the same) and I had
to make a fresh install of Gutsy for this machine. I don't have this
problem anymore with this setup, and if I remember correctly, I was able
to get things wo
please try to unset your compiz settings and see if this behaviour goes
away.
