Just to add -- the attached reports are from my actual running
installation of trusty. If you want me to run the report from a clean

to clarify, you were reproducing the GPU lockup when running xmir /
unity-system-compositor, but it's not reproducible if you use the
defaults for 14.04?
Running from the actual install is fine, but if you see different

idea if the error reproduces with xmir/unity-system-compositor enabled
because I haven't installed them this time round; but when I was running
13.10, it certainly seemed like the GPU hangups occurred more frequently
with them

This bug report is only focused on whatever setup you intend to use
going forward. If you aren't using xmir, then no worries. So, for now
I'll close this report. However, if you intend to use
Joseph Wakeling, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
