Theres no node like: /dev/scd0 /dev/sr or other cd/dvd-related /dev/???s I've googled around, both in launchpad and elsewhere, it looks like someone "fixes" this with booting with acpi=off. I've tried manually load sr_mod, but it makes no difference.
