Both the desktop pc and the laptop are running fine now;
It was a kernel bug that disappeared in recent releases.
Thanks,
Riccardo
ps. this bug doesn't lack any info ;)
Only suggestion I got was unmounting my root partition and running fsck on it.

I should unmount my disk ?
WHY ???

Now on my laptop I'm running Gusty with *0* freezes and noapic nolapic
parameters at boot.
I can't say anything about my desktop now, but I'll be able to in few
days when i get back home.

The issue remains on Feisty-2.60.20-15-generic.
As the choice was to have a non-stable os or a non-stable os... I just
went for gusty and in my case I found that noapic nolapic parameters for
kernel boot seem to solve the problem on 2.6.22-7-generic

freezed during disk mounted 29 times without check... at 79% or
something.
I've runned memtest today but everything was fine.
Isn't it a kernel bug?
Now I'm booting kernel
