I tried to freeze Firefox with the instructions from the second comment,
but nothing. It did took a while to change the theme, but Firefox
continued to work normally after that.
Tested in Gran Paradiso alpha 7. I will try to reproduce it in Firefox
2.

can you reproduce this issue? Can you add step-by-steps instructions how
to do that?
Thanks,

I've run firefox with strace - the log is attached (though it's huge - 8.7MB
after unpacking).
I've opened 20 tabs in my firefox on a clean profile on a new test user, I
changed my gnome theme while firefox was running, and then firefox was not
responding for about 2 minutes so I killed it.
I've created a new test user and the bug still appears.

Hi rzemysław Kulczycki,
Could you please reproduce the crash and upload the report that probably
will be generated during the crash and that should be located at
/var/crash/ to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/124054/+addcomment
as the gdb log you uploaded doesn't show
I tried with a new clean profile - at first nothing happened. I tried again a
few times and clean-profile firefox froze, just as before.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open about 20 tabs in Firefox
2) run gnome-theme-manager
3) Change your Gnome theme to anything else
4) Voila - Firefox will now eat 100%
It doesn't crash though. It just freezes for so long that I have to kill it.
Here's my gdb output.
