Doing an upgrade of a saucy install to trusty-proposed using "phablet-flash 
ubuntu-system --channel trusty-proposed"
seems to have wiped all my installed apps together with their launcher entries.

i'm not really sure which package this bug belongs in and for a start
file it against system-image as well as phablet-tools (though it might
be some missing boot hook or some such)
