gvSIG relies on the java advanced imaging library which is non-free software. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/314799 Unless that library changes its license or gvSIG can be built without it it is impossible to create a package which can be added to the repositories... -- [needs-packaging]
