Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-granparadiso
I used the workaround as given in bug 122737 by ubulette, while that worked but I get into 2 new problems. It doesn't delete the search engine as well as doesn't remember the order of the search engines in next session. I dunno if its something to do with using the workaround but whatever it does not delete & the search engine is again there in the next session. The procedure to remove the search engine I followed is :- 1. Use search engine drop down arrow & choose manage search engine 2. select the search engine I wanna remove 3. Click Remove. In the same session, the extension is shown as having removed. Quitting Restart the session & the search engine is still there. I know I could apply the workaround (the other way around this time) but that is not the way it should be. Another thing in the same Manage search engine is not able to push some search engines down & up. While in the session it respects the move up & down, but next session it orders in a particular way (maybe default way or something) . For e.g. Google doesn't come on top & is always relagated to the lower rung of things. One thing I would advice is to first read bug 122737 (do the workaround) & then try the above.
