running memtest brought some obscure RAM to light. So i think this issue should
be closed. Sorry for bothering you.

This machine contains 704 MB RAM.
2 strips of 256 MB
1 strip of 128 MB
1 strip of 64 MB
Ofcourse i ran memtest for a few hours but found no problems.
A few days ago i deleted al the strips and put 128 MB back, and everything
workes and installs fine with no oopses.
