Ubuntu builds gdb's Python support against Python 3, but the STL pretty-
printers shipped with libstdc++ don't support Python 3:

(gdb) python

>stldir = '/usr/share/gcc-4.7/python/'

>  from libstdcxx.v6.printers import register_libstdcxx_printers
