Public bug reported:

Description: Ubuntu 13.10
Release: 13.10
iagno:
  Installed: 1:3.8.2-1
  Candidate: 1:3.8.2-1
  Version table:
 *** 1:3.8.2-1 0
        500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ saucy/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

In Human (Black) against machine at level 3, the program hangs for at
least half an hour. I think this is a bug in the search for a next
move, but have no tools to test this with better information. I attach
some screen shots showing the position.

Output from system monitor shows processor at 50%. This is an Athlon II
X2 dual processor, so 50% is 100% of on processor.

Please feed this back to the author(s) who may be interested in solving
this problem.

I expected the program to move into one of the available slots for
white. It is now some 42 minutes since it moved last.

This is not the only position in which this happens. After beating the
program frequently at level 2, I moved up to level 3 and if goes into a
pout if I get into a winning position.
