I was just about to report this.
I haven't installed it but I guess it will result in mismatching plugins
- which will probably brake compiz.
P.S. the new version is compiz-fusion-plugins-main (not -extra).

Yeah, its not supported, and compiz-fusion is just a new name under
which they are updating it now.
