The bug still exists in Maverick. However, I was able to rebuild the
libgtop2 with the above mentioned Bugzilla patch, which applies cleanly
and fixes the bug for my software RAID.
For convenience, I have attached the patch here.

Nobody said that the ticket can not be used but reality is that ubuntu
only distribute this software and doesn't write it and nobody there
seems to be interested to work on the issue or has a configuration
exposing it so if you want to get work done on it it might be a good
