Public bug reported:

i have ubuntu 7.04, with latest updates, and ever since i started using
it (about 1 or 2 months ago) the sound worked the first time around, but
every session after that hasn't worked until this morning it worked
randomly. then, after my mother got on and rebooted to windows, it
stopped working when using linux. any ideas?
