I got this as well as part of my trusty upgrade. After trying a few
things what eventually worked was
dpkg -r checkbox
followed by
apt-get -yf install
followed by
apt-get -yf dist-upgrade

package checkbox-ng 0.1-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: trying to
overwrite
I just noticed something: I see you have checkbox 0.16.7, but the latest
is 0.16.8. The man page was renamed in that version, precisely to avoid
this kind of conflict with checkbox-ng.
Could you please try to update your version of checkbox first? Once you
confirm that you have 0.16.8, please
This is because checkbox-ng should replace checkbox but the required
debian control fields aren't present, since checkbox-ng comes from
upstream and that change hasn't been done there either.
In the meanwhile, you could try uninstalling checkbox (sudo apt-get
remove checkbox), that will make the
