Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I just recently got Ubuntu and decided to get limewire. there seems to have been a problem with the installation and it does not work and i get this message E: The package limewire-basic needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it. Iver tried alot of different methods to remove, like apt-get remove or purge etc. and nothing happens. since i got this error i cant download anything using apt-get or use package manager. I really don't want to go back to vista, i started to really like Ubuntu and the apt-get features on it and everything else. Im using a hp dv6305us notebook with AMD Turion 64 x2. everything works fine but after the apt-get problems with limewire i cant do much with apt-get and package manager not working. Im using Feisty 7.04 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Jul 25 23:55:57 2007 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-panel Package: gnome-panel 1:2.18.1-0ubuntu3.1 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcCmdline: gnome-panel --sm-client-id default1 ProcCwd: /home/migeru ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-panel Uname: Linux migeru-laptop 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Thu Jun 7 20:19:32 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- package manager error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/128445 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
