Starting around June 26, the convert program starting failing to convert
PDF images to raster images. I noticed this because this prevents LyX
from displaying preview images of PDFs. Several other PDF-related
things broke at the same time - I think this is a related to other
packages or libraries.
For example, this command, succeeds on my Debian (unstable) box:
% convert c95.tree.pdf c95.png
On Gutsy, I get:
$ convert c95.tree.pdf c95.png
