Public bug reported: Client: Kub 7.04, 2.6.20-16-generic. Server: Slackware 11.0
Today found this trying to mount an smb share: mount gave me an I/O error. I looked up the mount:point and found this: $ ls -l drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2007-06-06 20:28 a5 ?--------- ? ? ? ? ? a7 a7 is the one in question. I went into runlevel 1 and ran fsck, told me everything was fine. It wasn't. Booted Slackware on the same box, had a look - all fine. rm -rf'ed the dir and recreated it. Still fine. Rebooted to Kub - all the same again. Madness continues: made a new mount point a7b for the moment to cont' work, used that once, today figured it is broken in the same way as the old one. As it seems they break after I used them to mount the smb share. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- smb client tools mess up mount point https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/129102 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
